Street Medicine

Each Tuesday evening, rain or shine, high or moderate temperatures, the VIM Street Medicine teams gather at our Indio Clinic to discuss that week’s strategic activities. Two teams are usually formed, each with a team leader who will lead physicians, medical residents, medical students, nurses, scribes and other volunteers who assist in providing medical care on the street. Team members carry backpacks to provide care wherever the unhoused persons reside. Safety is always a priority and members always provide care in teams. Come join us in taking medicine to the street!
